Linux has come of age. Red Hat 7.2 is the version that brings it to the masses. In 2000, I was strugling on loading Linux to my Notebook – most of the drivers were not recognized. There many agonizing days before it started to work – without modem support. And linux literature was disparate and difficult to come by.
Red Hat Version 7.2 makes things almost as easy as a Microsoft OS to newbies. And the book goes through the steps in extremely digestable formats. Red Hat support does not come along with the CDs – but this is not really necessary. The book covers the topics very well. And if you need to troubleshoot on areas not covered by the book, there are a wealth of info through google and deja.
Best wishes on your migration to Linux. It is a fun OS to use and the migration path is now, almost, painless.

Very powerful suction, easy to use, probably identical in quality to much more expensive machines. The tools are convenient, the cord is long, even the switch is convenient. A really great deal.
CASIO MQ27 7B CLASSIC
I have had two pairs of these speakers – I got the first pair not even a year ago, and then they crapped out, now I hooked up a new pair and not even a month later they’re pretty much dead and just giving crappy sound quality and static unless the wire is jiggled and held just the right way.
Guess you get what you pay for, but I’ve always had great luck with Logitech products, so figured they’d do better than this.

I’ve had a number of scales that did multiple things, but this is the best and easiest scale ever. Easy to set up and easy to read.

I love how slim this is & that the clip is very easy to remove so I can fit the pedometer im my pocket or purse & it still keeps track of my steps. Love the 7 day memory so I can see how I have done & it keeps me on track.

Bought these two years ago and still works! Dont go out to Best Buy and buy those expensive HDMI cables. These will work as those would.
PALATINO DOLCE VIOLIN OUTFIT
I joined a FAcebook Book Club and this was the first book I read as a resultof joining. It wasn’t one I would have chosen if I had just read the synopsis of the story, but I decided to give it a try. Actually, I was pleasantly surprised. Once I got into the book I really enjoyed it. The setting in the south and the types of characters were unfamiliar to me which made the book very interesting. The perspective from which it was told gave me an insight into the lives of teh characters and made them very believable. I would highly recommend this book.
Belkin Wireless G Notebook
This little computer came to life right out of the box. It was very easy to set up, connect to our home wifi, install all email accounts, obtain desired applications (free and fee), sync with itunes, connect with instant messaging, etc. It is never out of reach.
The web pages and email pages display just as they do on the desktop computer. The response to downloads and other web activities is as fast as our other computers. I can’t say enough about how well it performs its computer duties.
The touch screen responds so well, even when selecting a link that is very small using the tip of my finger. Amazing. Typing is a breeze in either the portrait or landscape mode. Gaming is fun, particularly those using the accelerator. Battery life is acceptable in normal use, but some games use more power so a recharge becomes necessary.
It is a good idea to purchase a secondary charger so it can be charged without connecting to itunes. Often, it is desireable to charge without the need to re-sync with itunes. This capability is very handy and was very inexpensive.
The unit is so small that it is a little hard to handle. There is a fear that it would be easy to drop. The answer was a rubber case that slips over the sides and back. They do not interfere with the screen use and make it much easier to hold. This is another inexpensive accessory worth considering.
The voice activation works well, but requires the use of the earbud headset that came with the itouch. We purchased an adaptor that provides the mic and it can be used with our favorite headsets. We already have noise cancelling, blue tooth stereo and clip-on headsets so these can all be used now with this unit.
So far, I am hard pressed to find any negative issues with this unit. With the addition of the accessories mentioned above this is a great carry around computer, music player and game machine.

Overall excellent book. This is a must have book for families.
Strengths: The author gives a recommended book list. This is a comprehensive list by age. She also includes some books from different ethnic backgrounds. She gives sound tips and advice how to impart values to children thru books instead of force feeding them. Great background information about classic books and particular editions and illustrators to buy.
Weakness: She mentions books on tape, but needs to add a section on good books on tapes. She could use more books from other cultures on the list.
Honey for a Child
This book was ok… a little hard to follow at times, as it went on and on. Would have like to ask more questions of why this or that.
