Overall I was very pleased with the performance of my new Hoover. I think it does a great job of cleaning. Improvements that need to be made: 1. I use boiling water for cleaning as instructed at another third party web site. The seperate attachment cleaning device has a small rubber hose that is simply locked into a nipple by friction. I think the super hot boiling water expands the tubing enough that the tube slips off the nipple and causes a huge (and very HOT) leak. I wish they would build this part with a hose clamp to hold the tubing in place. It spoiled my otherwise very pleasant cleaning experience. 2. The clean water tank and the dirty water tanks need to be larger to cut down on frequency of refilling/dumping.

This is by far the best functioning pedometer I have ever used; accurate, easy to read and use. However, this will not win any “style” points. It is a little larger and bulkier than most pedometers, and the face is always open to view if you wear it on a belt (no cover). Probably not an issue if you only wear it with workout clothes, but if you wear it with street clothes to track daily activity as I do, then it is a bit too obtrusive.
The extra strap with a small clip on the end is most helpful. I use it as a secondary clip on my belt in addition to the main belt clip. This way if the meter gets dislodged when I sit down or bump something, it doesn’t fall to the ground. If you are more interested in functionality than fashion, then this is a great buy. I am very happy with it since function is very important to me.

I received a bad device and it had to be returned. Apple did replace it and I really hope that this one works okay. I have only had it back for 1 day now. Well let’s see what happens now.

I bought this book because it was rated so highly and it was a NaNoWriMo novel. Somehow I made it to the bit that describes the old man having a shower which is about a 1/3 the way through according to my Kindle progress bar. I don’t know how. I found it so incredibly vulgar that I just couldn’t keep going. I didn’t even care enough about the characters or the story to skip to the last few pages to find out what happened. In fact, I wish I could erase what I did read from my head and gain back the time I wasted reading it.

So many people have reviewed this that it doesn’t make sense for me to be redundant. Overall, the kindle is great and I love the experience of reading on it- especially the dull matte finish of the screen, which is much easier on the eyes if you like to read for long periods of time. Having said that though, the interface could use a version 2.0. My main critiques are around the device’s non-intuitive button arrangement. The Previous Page button is on the opposite side of the device, so I can’t just move my thumb slightly from the Next Page button in order to flip back a page. For me, this is a big deal because I regularly flip back and forth while reading if I need to reference something or I forget a character’s name. Also, the kindle menu options are similarly inconvenient. Highlighting passages requires navigation through too many menu options. Annotation features like this should be available at the tip of your fingers.
Lastly, the reason for the title of my review is that I bought the kindle without considering any of its competitors. But recently when I was on a plane, a woman sitting next to me was reading on her Nook, and all of the issues I mentioned above have been addressed on Barnes & Noble’s competitive e-book offering. Quite disappointing, but now I’ve made my bed. Granted it’s still a pretty comfortable and likable bed.
The Green Dilemma and
Home and Student 2007 version is everything I expected and more. I am familiar with Word 2007 and Excel 2007. I have also used Power Point 2007 for work. I think this is a good product at an affordable price..

This iPod Touch is now part of my daily life. It’s one terrfic tool. Now I do not require my netbook when I travel. Oh BTW, it also makes a super music/audio book player!
While the’re are some features I’d add, overall this iPod is a winner.
Archaeologies of the Greek
I bought this for a baby shower for my future niece. She hasn’t been born yet so I can’t say how much she likes it but it’s very soft and it has a very low key rattle in it. It makes a great toy for a newborn.
Baby Gund Lamb Winky
I bought the small one so I could use it on my cats and medium-sized dog. It works pretty well on the cats, but my dog has coarse, thick hair (Corgi), and I have a difficult time getting it through to the skin. The blades are the same on all sizes, so the size isn’t the problem. It works okay, but because the blades are short and close together, I have to press hard to get it through her coat. It seems to pull and hurt her a little, so I stopped using it on her. I found a different product yesterday for her–Oster makes one called ShedZilla that has longer, wider, and safely blunted blades that easily go through even her hair, AND she seemed to enjoy it! So if your pet has this kind of hair, the FURminator might not work as well as you hoped. It is pretty good for shorter, thinner, or finer coats though.

Got this to deal with a litter of 10 puppies inside the house and a mother dog with loose stools dumping on my carpet at least twice a day! What a mess! This Hoover cleaned it up beautifully. I kept it plugged in and ready with detergent and could clean a mess in just a few minutes. This was a lifesaver! Now the puppies are outside (it was still very cold out here in the high desert of northern Arizona until this week). I plan on doing the whole house with this baby next week.
