This scale looks good and only has one function. That is to give you an accurate weight. It is high tech in looks and the display is great. If you are one who stores the scale elsewhere from where you use it, then it probably will annoy you. If it is moved it has to recalibrate. I see that it weights itself at 5 LBs and if you move it and don’t recalibrate it it shows 5 LBs. Actually it is very easy to calibrate. Step on it, let it cal, then get off and the next weight is your actual weight. I did it 10 times and it showed the same weight for me. It does not do body fat, etc but that is not what I wanted. I just wanted to see my weight. I weighed myself yesterday and went to the doctor. Same clothes wallet everything. Doctors scale says same weight. So I am happy with it.

We bought this vac two years ago, primarily based upon the Consumer Report review at the time. We needed a vac at a second location and didn’t want to cart our cannister vac back and forth from home.
I must start off by saying the noise is deafening. My wife says I have a hearing issue (OK, I do) but I can surely hear this machine running! Sounds like a jet taking off . . . no, several jets.
I could live with the noise but the real problem is that it really sucks. No, I mean that in a purely vac sense. I don’t know why other purchasers have said there’s no suction with this unit. Ours will almost lift the wood flooring up! On carpets, even with the setting at the highest level away from the floor underneath, the unit will pull itself down (on installed carpeting) or pull the carpet up (for throw-rugs) to essentially stop the brushes and create a firm grasp on what’s below. You will need to either shut off the unit or try and lever the head section up to free it from the carpet.
As cited by others, the hose is exceptionally short and you will have some difficulty in reaching things you want to vac with the limited attachments included.
Well, hope this helps in your decision. As I said, ours is two years old and we do have the headlight and the bag-fill indicator. No big deal with either in my opinion.

For the price, you can’t beat this one. I bought it because of CR’s recommendation and Amazon’s reviews. Got ours yesterday and I immediately put it to the test. It is very good on carpet. It sucks! Really! It is lightweight so I can lug around the stairs with ease. Being 7 months pregnant, this is definitely a plus. The only thing I would recommend is to buy the extension hose because it’s a little short and if you use vacuum cleaners like I do (I stopped using those swiffer dusters and just vacuum every nook and cranny of the house with the dusting brush attachment), you will surely find the extension hose a big help. Oh, also, when I use the hose to hand-vacuum the furnitures/curtains, I cover the hose outlet with one of the tool attachments so the dust in it would not flow back up because of the turbulence. I believe in the newer models, they remove the hose outlet cover (I wish they didn’t). Anyhow, that does not deter me from giving this little “sucker” a 5 star rating. It works just like those expensive ones yet for a fraction of the cost and fraction of the weight. Good job, Hoover!

purchased this when i broke my wrist and had to start running to keep in shape. i hate running, but this watch really gives me inspiration to go put some miles on my feet. i like knowing how far i’ve run, and what my pace is. the real fun starts when i go home and download my workout onto my computer. so much information to cull over. highly recommended if you walk/run or even bike.

This must be by far the worst book I ever laid hands on! I took so much effort to finish this book, when I just wanted to toss it in the fire. The characters are absolutely depthless, and the relationship between Edward and Bella is appalling. I do not know why Stephanie Meyer, being a woman would create such a weak, whiny, insecure and utterly dependent lead female character. And on top of that she created a psychotic/stalker boyfriend for Bella. I do not know about you, but this doesn’t look like the healthiest of relationships to me. The dialogue of this book makes me want to shoot someone. If all the “I love you/I cannot live without you” nonsense was taken off, I bet there wouldn’t be a book. Anyway, do not waste your money on this ghastly piece of literature (What has happened to literature nowadays??)

Great product, arrived fairly quickly. Tracking information was strange, stated it was already in my city, but I didn’t receive it for two whole days. Could have been Amazon or SF Planet. Other than that, minimal packaging. Cable appears to be high quality. Great buy for the price. Currently using it for a secondary HD 20″ monitor for my HP Pavilion laptop. I would high recommend this product. We’ll see how long it lasts.
Eat Yourself Healthy
With the making of a Film based on this book and all of the rave reviews about it, I guess I had high expectations. Don’t get me wrong, I found most of it entertaining, but I think the story lacked in its development, and I never figured out why religion was ever even brought up among the characters in the earlier part of the book, when it apparently had nothing to do with the plot. The ending was also a bit of a let-down because it was just too “happily ever after” for me.
The funny thing is that I’m not a big fan of Circuses in general, but surprisingly, I found the source material to be rather fascinating, So, if anything, this book will propel me to look into more historical reading material on Circuses from the 19th century to the turn of the 20th Century.

NOVICA Folk Art Painting
Always wanted one of these, picked it up when Amazon was offering it for a steal of a price. After a good read through of the instructions, I strapped it on and gave it a whirl. The GPS picked up the signal quickly, the heartrate monitor worked perfectly and the data on the watch is great for challenging yourself. The device has continued to work well with no issues since I purchased. The software was easy to install and the watch syncs effortlessly.
Pros: Data captured: fantastic, every data point you could need. As I learn more about the community behind the devices, I am seeing all types of cool stuff you can do (like Geocaching, mapping and sharing routes on Google Earth or Bing Maps).
Pause feature: detects when you stop for a traffic light and autopauses the timer. Great feature, even better that it is optional to the user
Cons: Altitude tracking: only flaw I have seen so far; did a 2 mile hike that climbed ~2000 feet, device had total ascent of ~4000. I wonder if that was the sum of all time going up hill versus the true altitude change, as the course had various ascents and descents.
Overall, I highly recommend. Also, check your HSA flexible spending account rules; because of the heart rate monitor, this device qualified for reimbursement under my plan.
