Cute Shape Tye Dye

I just received my Kindle a couple of days ago. I just love the size. It is small enough to carry in my purse, so I can read anywhere I am. I will never again be stuck reading a two year old edition of some magazine I never cared about while waiting in the doctor’s office.

I bought this book so that I could have a choice of more than one book, when I am out of the house. How many books can a person carry on an airplane or on jury duty? I love that feature. I can choose my reading material based on my mood. If nothing I have in my Kindle suits me I can download something else. This brings me to something else I love. Since I buy most of my books online, I am sometimes disappointed because the book wasn’t what I expected. I am thrilled that I can download the beginning of a book, to see if I like it, before spending the money. I will probably make up the cost of the Kindle in a year or so by not buying books that weren’t what I was looking for. (I read a lot of books.)

Another benefit for me is the screen. I have mild dyslexia. It is so much easier to read on the Kindle’s light grey screen than on a bright white paper. The letters don’t blend together as much. Also, the ability to change the font size really helps. Having less text on the screen is very helpful too. I don’t have to work so hard to keep my place. I would recommend this to anyone who has any type of visual perceptual problem.

A couple of things I would love to see in future Kindles are:
a color screen
the ability to control the space between lines of text.

My suggestions in no way indicate dissatisfaction. I am so glad that I bought this reader. I would recommend it to anyone.
