I can’t understand the people that rated this book low. I was very touched by this story, and don’t see how somebody could not be after finishing it. My Aunt lent me this book recently telling me how much she enjoyed it. I started reading it this past Saturday night, and just finished it a little bit ago (Thursday afternoon). I only put it down when I had to or was too tired to keep my eyes open. I thought it was fantastic book, particularly for a first time author, and I almost felt like I was there, in 1960’s Mississippi while I was reading. Her story was so wonderfully detailed. I cannot even begin to describe how much I loved this book, and the characters in it, particularly Aibileen and Baby Girl. I would highly recommend this book! I also look forward to reading absolutely anything that Miss Stockett writes in the future, I was very impressed!
