I throughly enjoyed this book, and when I finished, it left me wanting more. As a vet tech, who has devoted her life to animal care, I felt a kinship with Jacob. The animal abuse was both heart breaking and apalling, and moved me to tears more than once. The treatment of the workers and the hardships they faced left me feeling sorrowful as well. That aside, it was a wonderful, passionate love story, one that I personally will not forget, and I absolutely loved the ending. I highly recommend this book, and I can’t wait for the movie.

The first time I heard about this book was about two or three years ago when my cousin told me this was “soooo gooood!” and I had to read it. I didn’t at first because I knew it was in the Young Adult section of the bookstore and I am always a bit iffy about that section.
Then, once the movie came out and there was this huge craze that followed, I definitely didn’t want to read the books because I try to not get sucked into all the hype.
This past Thanksgiving, I saw that another one of my cousins had the books and I asked her if I could borrow the first book so I could find out what all this mess was about. I definitely didn’t want to waste my money if the books turned out to be as dumb as I thought they would be.
So, on the car ride home I started reading … and reading… and reading … I found that I couldn’t put the book down! When I wasn’t reading, I was thinking about the book and how I wished I could be reading. True this is no mind bending, life changing work of literature, but I found it to be quite addictive and I don’t know why!
As soon as I finished the first book, I ran out to Wal-mart and bought the other three books because I couldn’t wait to have them shipped to me from Amazon.
By the end of the next week, I had finished all the books!
I hate my self a little for getting sucked into these books, but I just found them so entertaining and addictive.

I was given my Kindle as a gift, and I’m glad. I’d be furious if I’d paid my hard-earned dollars for it.
1. I’ve had to call technical support a number of times to get it to start. After a few uses, it starts to get very sluggish in the time it takes to turn on, and eventually it literally won’t turn on at all. I call tier one technical support, and they consider a 2-minute start up time to be acceptable! Two minutes?! That’s ridiculous. If it takes longer than that (which mine did), you get bumped up to the second tier technical support, who solves the problem. But then the problem cycles through again and you go through the hassle all over.
2. I thought the notes feature would be great for me as a researcher, but all it does is compile ALL the notes from all my books in one place. There’s no way to organize them and separate them. Turns out it’s still more efficient for me to flag the content in a paper-based book and photocpy the page!
3. As a researcher, the price of the books are not that much cheaper than paper-based, and it’s turned out to be a lot more convenient to have hard copy books on hand for ongoing research, where I can just throw open the book with marker tags. Having an e-verion stored somewhere (even if I stored them on my PC), is not the same as having a library to reference.
But even if I was a more casual reader, the technical problems I’ve had with it not starting have been so frustrating, I more often than not go for paper-based books, unless I’m traveling.
I would NOT buy a Kindle again.

This set is a good value. Everything in the set is decent and just fine for light use. My first order came with the tripod a little damaged. Customer Service from the vendor called me right away and without hesitation offered to send me another tripod. That was incredible. My second tripod arrived quickly and with no damage at all. I would not hesitate to order from them again. The customer service rep was friendly and professional. I couldn’t be happier.
Universal Deluxe Photo Accessory
I use it to track my running, biking, and canoeing. Does a great job. Locks in on satellites very quickly. The user interface on the device is a bit clunky, but does the job fine.
The data is the reason to have the 305. I’ve really switched my workouts over to more heart rate zone training and the watch is perfect for it. Heart rate function works perfectly. Speed function is almost always exactly what my bike speedo shows.
Overall I’m very pleased with the purchase.
Two possible improvements
1. I wish I could configure the settings from the Garmin software rather than having to use the 305 buttons. For example configuring the disply settings, clearing history, etc would be much nicer in a GUI on the computer rather than the buttons on the 305.
2. If I have the setting wrong for Running, Biking, Other, I can’t see how to change it once its downloaded into the Garmin software. So if you run when the 305 is set to Biking, your workout will show up in biking, calculate calories based on biking, etc.
One word of warning – although the device is called waterproof with an IPX7 rating, I know several people who have had water get in the device and ruin it. When I use mine in the ocean I keep it in a drybag.
