This spray just Didn’t Work for My Dog.

I bought this spray, which is supposed to be repellent to dogs and therefor stop them from biting their skin to relieve themselves of itching.

My dog continued to bite his tail and pull off fur for it despite using this product according to directions on the label.

I did end up taking him to the vet for this chewing of his tail. He had no faith in this spray and discouraged me from using it in the future.

After a course of prednisone prescribed by my vet, my dog has stopped his persistent chewing of his tail.

This is not a cure. If your dog or cat constantly chews his own flesh, it’s best to bring him to a vet and have him tell you what is best to remedy this problem.

This may work for a small percentage of skin problems, but certainly not all, as my vet stated.

The nintendo wii is a breath of fresh air to the video game industry. In a world saturated with first person shooters, games geared for adult crowd, and an abundance of blood and gore, it is refreshing to have a game experience that you can have and not worry about whose head will be chopped off or how many kills you have. I love that the wii causes you to actually get off the couch and do something. You can actually work out while playing video games. Nintendo took the first step. Now it’s time for some good changes to the industry.

I was not sure I wanted to spend this much on a MP3 player, but this is the coolest device I own. Nothing can “touch” this, except maybe the iPhone but it loses points because of AT&T and the steep plan prices. There are many places to get free wi-fi when you are out, and I find that I use the touch more for surfing, social networking, and e-mail than I do for music. If you don’t buy an iPod, you settled. The genius mixes are even cool. My recommendations are to get a case and screen protector immediately. The iPod touch is a fingerprint and scratch magnet. You want to protect your investment. I ordered the SwitchEasy Rebel case and it came with a screen protector.

All that said, there are some negatives. The first and most famous is that the stock Apple headphones are junk. To really appreciate the iPod and all it can do, make sure to buy some quality headphones that have the 3 button remote and microphone. Secondly, if you consider the bright display, wi-fi, and processor; it is understandable that the battery life is not great. Apple says 6 hours of video and 30 hours of music, but I multi task and jump back and forth all the time. The battery lasts me more like 5 hours. It does charge fast and you can get to 80% in two hours. Sometimes syncing is a pain, my library is larger than 32gb, so I have to manually add music and video, so that is more tedious. I did sync my Google calendar, and set up 2 different e-mail accounts. You can also add lyrics to your id3 tags via iTunes and they are viewable buy taping the album art while you are in the iPod function. It is a cool feature, but there is no easy way to populate all your songs, so it is now a huge task. Another issue to consider is that the screen resolution is good, so if your album art didn’t come from iTunes, it may look pixelated. I recommend you shoot for a minimum of 400 x 400.

I’ve owned and used several Macs over the years and the Mini’s are possibly my favorite models. They are small, energy efficient and perfect for what I need to do: web maintenance, Microsoft Office docs and spreadsheets, some Adobe inDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator work and email and web browsing.

These new models with the firewire 800 make backups speedy and painless and the addition of 802.11n, the ability add up to 4GB of RAM, and outputs for TWO displays round out a perfect machine for me. After a few months I ended up getting a laptop because I was traveling for work so if anything ever happens this will be my backup, but in the meantime it’s hooked up to our TV for DVD’s, streaming Netflix & Hulu, and acting as a server for my wife and my iTunes libraries.

Some say this cable is over priced. Maybe but remember you get a power adapter with the cable. This adapter is quite small, seems to shut off when not connected to an iPod, because there is no warmth that I can detect to it then. The cable is really nice to have. I can view on my TV HD movies and TV episodes from my iPod and they look great ! No compromise if you get high quality down loads. I can listen to music etc through my home stereo system all without changing the plugs. It charges the iPod and iPhone and with a doc holds them upright. I am happy with my purchase. I would buy one again. It would be nice if this was a thirty or forty dollar package but the components are high quality and look great too. The plugs fit right ( not too tight or too loose ). I have bought cheep cables that quit working soon after purchasing. I feel I have a quality product from a top shelf company. Period.

The main incentive I had was to use a foreign language dictionary on the iPod, instead of buying an electronic dictionary, and it has been well worth it. The foreign language apps work great, but I also enjoy using it for so many other things. It was so handy taking on a trip to another country rather than taking my laptop – kept track of trip expenses, kept a trip log, recorded tour guide talks, checked e-mail when wireless networks were accessible, listened to podcasts, played games.

And getting the iPod from Amazon.com was smooth as usual and the best price I could find.

Get a screen protector as soon as you can, if not when you buy it.
