Artemis Fowl starts slow, but picks up speed and interest as the book progresses. As a Preteen/Young Adult book it provides a very different type of story written from the villain’s point of view, with side glimpses at the individuals endeavoring to stop him. Readers should be aware that the book does contain some bathroom type humor/situations, cussing in fairy language, and drugs used to sedate, but is an overall clean read.

I would strongly advise against wasting money on this. While it is more convenient than a tradional lock in that you don’t need to carry around a key, its totally ineffective when it comes to safety. The thieves seem to open this without any problems. Out of 7 bikes in my basement, mine was the only stolen despite being tied to a metal pole (unless others that were locked to flimsy structures)thanks to this!! don’t waste your money on this.

I thought that the card was great and it was until it stopped working. The card is completely dead and I lost a lot of pictures. it didnt get wet or anything and now my camera nor my computer will read it. this made me very angry!

This book was a dense text. Tends to be somewhat comical with Holden’s observations of the every day lives of people in NYC. Some what vulgar language, though. The comical spins Salinger puts on the subtle nuiances of society were funny. Not a very easy read, though as it is written from the point of view of Holden (entirely).

This is regarding the Audio CDs, NOT THE TEXT. The narrator is so annoying and grating I literally couldn’t listen past the first chapter. Complete waste of money. The way she reads the text makes it sound geared for an 11 year-old, or even younger. It makes you feel like you are listening in on a superficial little girl’s diary. It is obvious they recorded it before Twilight became such a big hit, or they would have put more thought and value into the CDs. Such a disappointment.

I owe so much of the richness of my life for the past 10 years, the relationships formed and bonded, the beauty and peace I experience, to what I learned from this book. I have shared it with many others who also expressed the same. This is one way of many to find the path to understanding how we are all one and realize who we are in this world. I hope everyone can find that for themselves. This book can be the way for many.

This is one of the few books that presents both a high level overview and a low level set of formulas for the design and operation of a hybrid fiber cable TV plant. It can be read by someone wishing to have an overview and understanding of the issues by skipping the “Math” chapters. The results of the math are presented with out being bogged down in derivation as is common in many text books. If you want to know how a cable TV system “works”, this is a great book to read. I think it needs to be read several times, and concur with the other reviews that you can really consider it as several “books” in the same binding. An overview of cable TV transmission in the modern age. A description of the challenges facing a cable plant designer and operator. Finally, the math a designer would need to use to perform an actual design. The book is worth it as an overview alone, and you can consider the rest as a bonus. This is one of the few books that covers this many topics. The technical detail moves around quite a bit, and is best read by someone who already understands the issues.
