This is a wonderful book. I enjoyed reading it and can’t wait for them to finish shooting and to be able to see it brought to the big screen. This is a story that any who loves animals will want to read…

After much research, I opted to purchase the Forerunner 305. I was concerned about its size being too large, but was pleasantly surprised to find it not as big as I originally expected. The software that comes with the product is sweet. It gives you the ability to track all of your progress right from the PC. It even allows you to view your route on Google earth, which I found to be really cool. I have used mine during cycling, jogging, kayaking, and even purchased the foot pod to use on the treadmill.

Some of the cons about the product.

Heart rate strap is uncomfortable and itches after some time. The Garmin watch will only communicate with a Garmin heart rate monitor strap. I have a really nice Polar strap that is very comfortable that I could not use. I contacted Garmin’s customer support and they concurred with my findings. You can always purchase Garmin’s version of a soft strap, but who wants to spend another $60.00.
The battery life is only 10 hours. Even when I power it down after each use, it appears to drain.

These cons are petty compared to what this unit can do. Thought about buying one of the newer more expensive versions, but glad I opted for the 305.

Go ahead and buy it :)
Bottle Opener Key Chain

This chain is great. It would keep my bike safe from most theifs. But the disc lock is terrible for locking up chains. With the disk lock, the hook of the lock goes into the lock itself. Therefore, you have nothing to hook the chain on to! You are stuck trying to grip to ends of the chain, holding the two links in the perfect position to allow the lock’s latch to slide into. And you have to balance the lock in place. While all that’s happening, you then must turn the key to bring the latch outside of the lock and through the two chains.

If you want the chain, buy it. But also buy a different lock, unless you want to be seen struggling for 2 minutes every time you want to lock up your bike.

My lab/whippet mix sheds constantly. Encouraged by the reviews on the Furminator, I bought one. I “furminated” her abt 4 weeks ago, and since then the hair balls that used to rumble around my wood floors is at a minimum. The outcome is definately better than I anticipated, I am thrilled to say the least.

I suppose something can be said for it if it gets young people to read, but really. Let’s make sure we (& most especially the author) understand that “Bestseller” just means “Most popular” & really doesn’t have much to do with quality. I thought the writing was pretty shabby. Dust “moats?” Come on. It was as if they were all in such a hurry to get it to press so they could start raking in the big bucks, they didn’t even bother to edit the thing.

The best purpose it could possibly serve for young people would be as a stepping-stone to Anne Rice.
