I havent picked up many books in the last 10 years and actually finished them because of raising 3 children but I’m glad I picked this one! Actually an employee at a book store told me about it. Easy to read, kept my interest from beginning to end. I had to finish this one! I would describe it thought provoking, smooth and enjoyable:)

the lowest price on the net, I bought more after using it. the price was so low I didnt think I would be getting much. I also thought the seller must had made a big mistake on the price , selling it 5 times lower than any body else.

I’ve owned other steam vacs which were more expensive but did not do the job this one does. This model extracts the dirt and water with more suction than any other I’ve used in the past. I would highly recommend this unit. Don’t assume just because another model is newer or more expensive than it will do a better job. Buy this one and pocket the change.

I loved this story of 3 women, 2 African-American maids and one White plantation owner’s daughter whose commonalities prevail over their seeminly unpenetrable differences. Taking place in Jackson, Mississippi during the early sixties, Stockett weaves her story so that even if you were as far removed as possible from any of her characters lives, you still felt a glimpse of what it must have been like for them in some small way. I cheered for the three of them because in spite of what they risked, they were so inherently focused on what was right that nothing could stop them. I can’t help but think that this book was in some way, a tribute to all those stories of putting fear and retribution aside and taking a stand for what was right, race be damned. Stockett herself said that she wrote this book as a tribute to her own beloved childhood maid.

Kathryn Stockett gives wonderful insight to the lives of the women in this book. I had never read historical fiction before, but this book will not be my last! I’m sure there are women in towns all across the South wondering if certain characters were based on their grandmother :)

The troll rounded on him, all ten talons sliding out to their full extent. Drops of venom glistened from the tip of each tusk. Playtime was over.

In Artemis Fowl, by Eoin Colfer, young prodigy Artemis Fowl II wants gold. And, as a twelve-year-old criminal mastermind, he knows how to get it. In order to retrieve one ton of twenty-four-carat gold, he abducts Captain Holly Short, a fairy of the LEPrecon Unit. Along with his manservant Butler, Artemis encounters a digging-and-entering dwarf, a one hundred and eighty kilogram troll, and a bio-bomb capable of wiping out every single living thing in his entire mansion. Eventually, Artemis comes out with about half the money he originally was hoping for. Artemis Fowl is a perfect fantasy for anyone interested in a good book.

One interesting part of the novel is how it is told from many points of view. Most of the time, you see the world from Holly’s or Artemis’s eyes, them being the main characters. This leaves you wondering who to root for, the police officer or the criminal. However, sometimes the story is even told by more minor characters, such as Butler, who sees most of the action, or Mulch Diggums, a career criminal dwarf the LEP hire to enter Artemis’s mansion.

Another enjoyable part of the book is its believability. For instance, throughout the book, little tidbits about fairies and their history appear, such as the fact that the human word “leprechaun” originally came from LEPrecon, or the Lower Elements Police Recon Unit. This helps make the whole concept of a “fairy” more plausible. Also, in the book, fairies are considerably more technologically advanced than humans. This should only be expected, considering the fact that they can use their magic incorporated in with their inventions. It also brings readers away from the “medieval witchcraft and wizardry” generally associated with this type of fantasy. Finally, the author researched many dangerous weapons and deadly tactics and placed his findings in the

Don’t get me wrong. I love my Kindle. It does everything that was promised by Amazon. No glare, crisp letters, can download anywhere anything you want (almost), holds 1500 books, blah blah blah :) Awesome invention. I love it except..

What Amazon could have done to make the deal sweetest was when I bought my Kindle, the international and US versions concept did not exist yet! I bought (i hear) the model right before for $299 and was rather disappointed that when the 2 separate versions came out for $299 (the international version) and $269 for the US version that my Kindle was kept with the US wireless connection only. I would like to believe that when an upgrade comes around and I have already paid 299$ that I could be allowed into the same group of the privileged as the international Kindle owners…

The way my Kindle was advertised when I bought mine was that i could download my books literally ‘anywhere’ around the world!!! I travel a lot and bought the Kindle for that reason….ANYWHERE!!

If Amazon is willing to upgrade my Kindle privileges to International, I will gladly erase this review and provide purely positive feedback!

Cheers!

This is 30% PCW paper. They really should list that in the Technical Details.

This is great paper. I used to buy it all the time, but they’ve raised the price a lot. Now for the price I can buy 100% PCW paper.
