The nice thing about this book is that its full of humour and action, but not the standard knights in shining armor on a battlefield kind of action as it is with most fantasy books. While the latter is fun to read as well, it is nice to get a break from those epic type fantasies, and that is exactly what Artemis Fowl delivers, albiet in a more teen friendly way.
An interesting storyline combined with good humor and a very interesting main character makes this a great read for teens.

As I’ve started to branch out to reading a different type of book, Water for Elephants caught my eye, so I had to pick it up. I am so glad that I did! The setting was so raw and gritty and having it based on the history of circuses made it that much more fascinating. Sara Gruen was able to describe things so that I could easily picture the settings and all the circus workers. I just hope that the movie lives up to the book!

This is the only sensible way to use your GPS in your car! I was skeptical but I bought it here on Amazon.com sold by Beach Camera. The price was right, and free shipping and no sales tax, other places like the major retail electronics outlets are pricing this item between $24.99-$39.99. The frustration free packaging is great!! Just take the item out of the box, take the poly bag off and you’re set. I have a new car and might trade it in the future so I don’t want any glue residue left on dash, also the suction cup mount for the windsheild leaves a ring on the windsheild that just invites theives to break in to the car. Used this item last weekend on a road trip of various road types, this thing stays put and at just below eye level the Garmin Portable Friction Mount has got it all over the other types of GPS mounts!!! Buy it…you will be glad you did!!!

I waited a long time to jump on the Apple bandwagon, and while the issue remains that I think it’s silly that I would need software (iTunes or something similar) to transfer music I already own on my computer to my iPod, when in all reality I should simply be able to drag and drop the files into their respective spots, I am THRILLED with this device! This is a good little vacuum cleaner for the money and has lasted three years with no repairs. It’s great for small jobs, but don’t expect a lot of suction. I gave one to my daughter who used it for about six months and then bought a Kirby because this one wasn’t doing the job. She has two kids, a dog and a cat. But it’s still working. As I said, it’s great for small jobs. I have had two dogs and now one, a lab, and it simply does not pick up the hair off carpets.
